Value 1 - Blush.jpg

I value holistic health.

Adequate nutrition is huge, but so many other factors impact our overall health such as sleep, physical activity, relationships, mental wellbeing, level of stress, environment, and socioeconomic status. When we elevate one at the expense of others, our overall health suffers. Adhering to rigid rules, ignoring our bodies’ signals, or only eating “healthy” foods isn’t actually healthy as it is often at the expense of our physical, emotional, and relational wellbeing. Together, we work together to incorporate functional nutrition strategies to help you feel your best, while also keeping food in its proper place.

I value connection.

Food is more than just nourishment or energy, it is an avenue for connection. It’s easy for food rules or anxiety to get in the way of truly connecting with those around us or connecting to our true values. I desire to connect with my clients and build relationships with them in order to help them live a life that allows them to be fully present in the relationships that matter to them and to accomplish the things that are important to them. Furthermore, I believe becoming more connected to the sources of our foods can improve the quality of our foods and positively impact our health and environment.

I see food as a gift.

Food is such a wonderful gift that I believe should be enjoyed and celebrated with thankfulness and gratitude! Research even shows that enjoyment of food leads to better digestion and absorption, a more peaceful relationship with food, and better health outcomes. Furthermore, food is such a wonderful avenue for giving our bodies energy, enjoyment, satisfaction, and all of the building blocks it needs in order to function properly.
